New Release! Chant Compendium 8 with beautiful Gregorian chant

Vidi Aquam

I saw water coming forth from the temple
on the right side, alleluia:
and all those to whom this water came
were saved, and shall say, alleluia, alleluia.

V. Give praise to the Lord, for He is good:
R. For His mercy endureth forever.

V. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost:
R. As it was in the beginning, is now,
and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

This is sung in Latin at every High Mass on Sunday, in the Tridentine Rite (which was used by the whole Western Church up to 1962). Today, many Traditional and Conservative groups still offer the Tridentine Mass, and so this beautiful antiphon is heard in various Churches during Paschaltide (the Sundays after Easter). This antiphon is used instead of the Asperges Me until Ascension Thursday.

This is found (sung in Latin) on the following CD(s): Chant Compendium 1, Chant Compendium 2, and Chant Compendium 3.
